Lesson Day!
Today went really well. Went through some Kanji flash cards and was asked to give the meaning and reading of about 20 cards and got most of them right! A few I struggled to remember and will have to go away and revise those. The cards seem like a great way of remembering the readings.
Next was a bit more on Rosetta Stone. I'm not too sure I like this program much. It doesn't give any explanations for the new kanji you come across and just a blurry picture to go through.
Some things to remember from this lesson:
Right - Migi
Left - Hidari
Right - 右
Left - 左
Right - みぎ
Left - ひだり
Now - IMA - いま - 今
Old (person) - NENPAI - 年配
Young (person) - WAKAI - 若い
Dad / father - 父さん
Speech 語
Small - 小さい
Big - 大きい
Before - 前
I CANT Remember what Left and Right are for some reason. I kept getting them mixed up in the lesson and tried repeating them to myself on the way back home, still can't remember them. Doesn't help that their Kanji both look similar and neither of them actually have anything on the left. no logic there at all!
I'll try and remember some more to write here tomorrow that I need to remember from the Kanji deck!
Here's a sneaky Pic of some of the Kanji cards!
