Sadly I turned up at my Japanese lesson today and he greeted me by saying that his wife had just been rushed to hospital and he had to go... I hope everything will be ok with her, he seemed quite worried... :/
So, instead of having the lesson, today i'm going to take a look back and review some things i've learned so far...
Hiragana and Katakana:
I learned these last year and kind of forgot some of them when I stopped studying. I quickly picked it back up again though and now I don't have any trouble reading or writing katakana and hiragana.
So next came,
Kanji... The dreaded Kanji!
I downloaded a lot of apps and learned how to read and understand about 50 kanij. I should do the tests on there more often!
Here's a few from an older blog post:
馬 - Uma - Horse
犬 - Inu - Dog
猫 - Neko - Cat
日 - Nichi - Sun
本 - Hon - Book
門 - Mon - Gate
中 - Naka - Middle
正 - Sei/Shoo - Horizontal Line?? Why?
子 - Ko - Child
立 - Tatsu - Stand
夫 - Slash - Otto
一 - Ichi - One
After a brief look into Kanji I started looking at some verbs and sentence structure. We went through some in my wednesday lessons and i've also been reading a book about particles and listening to some very helpful podcasts on the subject!
